week 14: Task 1,2&3

Mood board and Generating ideas:

My mood board of the first ideas that come to my head when I think of thriller/horror.

First Ideas: Mind map

Idea 1. Out clubbing and someone spikes your drink with some weird, unidentified substance. End up in the toilet and you start hallucinating, you end up getting trapped in there thinking your in there for weeks and weeks. You start seeing different things which are scary and horrible. But you are only in there for an hour.

Idea 2. Out with your friends and there is these group of boys that keep staring at you. You and your friends walk off, but then one of them realises that the group of boys you have seen are wanted all over the UK. End up getting on a bus thinking your never going to see them again, and when you get off they are all waiting for you. They want to kill you because you and your friends have seen them around and they were suppose to be hidden and not trying to be seen.

Idea 3.You and your family go on a camping trip in the country. You end up going on a walk one day and you come across this massive tree house that someone has built. It has a massive ladder going up to it. You climb up to explore what's inside it, but what you discover is not what you was excepting. Dead bodies hanging everywhere, you go back to tell your family, they come to have a look and its completely normal its just an abandoned tree house, with loads of tree growing into it. An example of my idea could be Cabin In the Woods.

Idea 4. Another idea could be to do with social media like Skype or facetime. You in your room on facetime/Skype to your friend when it starts going fuzzy and starts loosing connection. You then hear a voice saying 'I SEE YOU', you think its your friend messing around with you so your laughing until you hear a 'SCREAM' your then really worrid about whats going on. You try call her,her phones off, you then decide to go to her house, her house is on fire and burning to the ground. I WONDER WHO IT WAS WHO DONE THIS?


Unfriended is a film that i have choose that will help with my work and come up with ideas that will create my 1 minute short film.

From thinking about some of these ideas i'm thinking to mix some together and see what will work, and create a good horror film.

For example I like idea 2 and 4 could go together because you could be out with your mates, you see then wanted boys, you go home all go on Skype together and this unwanted call comes in you all try to ignore it and it still gets accepted by someone and no one will admit who done it, it ends up being them boys threatening them, and telling them they cant tell no one they saw them. But one of the girls screams for help but before anyone came, she was killed....
This idea is going to use alternative techniques such as a linear narrative. Using a Linear narrative can still can create suspense throughout my short film.

Location-In a house, either on a bed or the sofa on facetime/skype
Mise en scene- phone(facetime), laptop (skype), drinks, seats
Editing-loads of shaking of the camera when looking at the boys are on skype, close up of girls faces.
Camera- Close ups, high angles making them looks small



My Pitch-
My pitch is going to go on for 1 minute, this where i'm going to talk about my ideas on my short film.

2 girls are on facetime to eachother both having a conversation. Having a normal conversation and then one of them gets annoyed that they have invited someone over and not telling her. However the girl denies saying there is no one is there, the girls sees him in facetime and says she is lying however the girl gets up to have a look around, then gets taken by someone this unknown person in the house. The girl runs away screaming for help sudennly hears her door bell ring. She walks over thinking the its someone ,opens it to see her friend standing there with blood all over her and a knife in her hand.



Script
This is my script for my short film. To be honest i will not follow it word from as it might not fit in to the way i film my short film or it might change a little bit.

INTRO-  Sam and laura are on facetime to eachother sitting on their own beds

Sam- 'Hey Laura so imagine what happened today i bumped into today that boy who helped me with choose them trainers 

Laura- 'OMG did you'

Sam- 'Yeah, but whos that behind you?'

Laura- 'Noone why?' (turns around to have a look)

Sam- ' NO look behind you theres someone there staring at you' (man walks away behind the door)

Laura- 'Are you sure?' (gets up walks out her room to have a look)

HEAR SCREAM

Sam- 'Lauraaaaaaa!!!'

Sam is getting worried doesnt no what to do, she trys finding the phone to ring the police but is shaking to much to find it or have look

*KNOCK KNOCK AT THE DOOR*

Sam is wondering who it is and why they are knocking so early in morning. 

*OPENS THE DOOR*

SCREAMS!!

Laura- ' Hi Sam' (standing at the door with blood all over her)
